Why does my plaster have stains?
Common causes include low pH, low total alkalinity, low calcium hardness, high total dissolved solids, metals in the water, or debris (even a leaf) left on the pool floor long enough. Stain removal and acid washing should be done by a pool professional.
Why are there white, rock-like deposits on my tile?
Those are calcium deposits. Ideal calcium levels range between 200 and 400 ppm. They can be removed by acid washing with a pumice stone, or by bead blasting with pressurized glass beads.
